Gold Standard’s Proposed Expansion to Certify Emission Reductions From Black Carbon

As part of their efforts to scale up climate change mitigation measures, The Gold Standard is exploring the development of a methodology to allow black carbon emission reductions to earn carbon credits from household-based thermal energy consumption devices (such as clean cookstoves).

The Gold Standard invites feedback from stakeholders on the factors that it should consider in the proposed scope expansion to include the certification of black carbon emission reductions from household-based thermal energy consumption devices.
